Build our own arena on the field. Place and combine traps, obstacles, functional elements, like teleporter modules or the moving platform. Hurry and make a good plan, because after you finished building, Paranoid Pete is going to be haunted by robots. They hunt him through the arena. Get rid of as many robots as you can until the timer runs out! Don‘t get caught until the survival timer runs out and crack the highscore.

IDEAS & GOALS

  • ACTION! The game should be fast, fun and have a variable gameplay through randomized module sequences and enemy spawns.
  • BALANCED AND POLISHED We wanted to create a polished game with a thought trough system and fun game loop.
  • PLAYER FEEDBACK FIRST The game lives through player feedback. We were particularly eager to create strong visual and acoustic feedback

 

GAMELOOP

The game is divided in two phases.

BUILD PHASE During the build phase, the player gets a randomized feed of modules with differing properties. He builds an arena with them, deciding how they are placed and combined with each other.

RUN PHASE After completing the build phase Pete starts running. The player controls only the running direction. The core gameplay is to trick the enemies into traps and survive until the timer has run out.
